The restoration process needs to be done from an OS, so I want to install Windows onto a drive or two connected to the Marvell controller. In the bios, on the main section, scroll down to storage configuration, then set, configure sata as raid, F10 to save and exit bios. Setting up RAID 0 on Asus P5Q
In the raid setup my two 3TB drives same modell show up as one drive. Which chipset has your mainboard?
So I could then create one or more partition in the “left” Unallocated space and one or more partitions in the “right” Unallocated space. I’ll be back to tell you how it went. Error bla bla, no details at all just says it doesn’t work. I had 2 options: Email Required, but never windws.
Spent so long fiddling with this, if I don’t get it to work it will feel like I’ve wasted so much time. It shows clearly when I boot up.

I used to run RAID 0 with winndows x 74gb raptors on an asus p5q deluxe, performance was great, but the noise was unbearable, swapped both out for a single hdd, much less noise and tbh i dont really miss the difference in performance, also RAID 0 can be a real pain when it does go wrong, constant backups are required.
